What pickups are you using in your super strat?

Right now i have the Anderson H3 in the bridge position of my GMW Superstrat, and it sounds really good to me. It's similar in output and compression levels to the Suhr Aldrich, but i would say a tiny bit more fat sounding overall. I had the Aldrich in the bridge previously and it was good, but a tad bright in this guitar. The H3 fixed that issue!

Well I have a Built Superstrat in HSS configuration, and I put all Duncans. A little 59' in the neck, a Cool Rails Neck in the middle, and a Full Shred Humbucker in the Bridge.

On my Charvel San Dimas (white) I took out the Zebra's (yuk) and put a 59 in the front, and a WCR Ironman in the Bridge, and changed the magnet, both black, AND I put a 250k volume pot in... That guitar is just Bright!

Ohh yea' I also put a L shaped big block in the Charvel, Had to Route the Body to make it fit!!!

would love to trade my ibanez pickups for the real thing. would also like a black evolution single coil for my middle pickup, and i would also like another air norton and SH-6 for my esp. would also like a set of dimarzio cruisers for my charvel =]

would also love a tungsten block for all of my guitars.

but as my dad always said, shit in one hand, want in the other...

Personally I am using the EMG 81/85 set.
Play everything from Metal to Classic rock.
And yes the EMGS can do it perfect.
Just have to do some volume ROLLING on the older stuff!

Mostly play 80s metal and some heavy stuff, but I have some Blackouts for that. Never really liked the JB, but it's in my GMW Jake and I love playing that guitar and it's starting to grow on me alot.

GMW solid maple = JB and no the guitar is not bright and is coming Saturday to prove it.
GMW ash = Custom
Charvel = Distortion, man that name is mis-leading
Hamer Diablo = Don't know again

That beat up blue Kramer i had was an all maple body and it wasn't bright at all either. It had an anderson H3 in the bridge. If that Charvel i had sounded like the Kramer i would have kept it. I thought Dave's Charvel sounded good with the Aldrich though.

Musikraft alder/maple - both the Aldrich and Duncqn Custom rip in that - balls for days!

I'm doing mainly hard rock into "light" metal. Both guitars rip!

Seymour Duncan '78, High Order A2 8.7K, and Dimarzio Super Distortion. The '78 is in my Jackson Soloist and its my favorite for 80's rock.

EVH Frankfurter Signature in my Jackson Soloist. SD8 in the Charvel. EMG;s in the ESP KH Vintage. Hard to use anything else after getting used to EMG's for output. Put EMG's 85/81 in my real Strat too.

Caparison Horus in solid walnut: BKP HolyDiver in bridge - HUGE mojo with this guitar/pickup combo
Caparison Dellinger in mahogany: BKP Painkiller - good mojo here too. Painkiller crunches nicely and has a nice thrashy bottom end. Good mids too.
ESP Horizon in mahogany: MCP Solutions - Brutal and tight!
ESP Mirage Custom in alder: MCP Afwayu - This combo sounds great!

Thinking about blackbelts or MCP angeldust in the mirage just to get a lower output option in a superstrat body.

the majority of my guitars are floyded charvels and charvel like Clones and GMWs. as for pickups, lots of stuff, i vary my tones with body wood (all have 1pc maple necks) and pickups more than with various models of guitars.
