I have a 1x12 v30 cab at 8 ohms and using a helix. I was wondering what power amp should I go with the micro block 45 or the mooer baby bomb? I'd like it more then 20 watts.
My speaker is only 60 watts guys lol trying to keep it under 50 lol. if it wasn't for my fear of blowing the speaker I'd just use the ISP one.
How much does the quilter color the sound they seem to be easier to find then the electro harmonix magnum 44.
I used the Microblock 45 with the Helix stomp through a 1x12 cab loaded with a V30. The Microblock is very good and neutral sounding if you want it to be. I was able to get pretty much any sound I wanted out of it. The size of the pedal makes it a very attractive option for mini boards. They can be had for a decent price on the used market.
I second the Duncan power stage 170, powerful EQ and more volume than you will need
*edit* just now seeing where you have a 60 watt speaker, guess this one isn’t for you
Quilter Tone Block. Out of the 10 or so guys that I know who are using Helix's ( myself included before I offed the Helix),only one is not using the Quilter. It's compact sounds killer and does not run out of headroom.
Please let us know how you make out with the Quilter. Still investigating the best solution for my reamp rig. Currently using the power amp from a Marshall Valvestate 8100 which has been working better for me than the Hafler TA1600. I must admit I am a bit skeptical of the pedal sized power amps like the EH and Carvin.
