Well I just got a Hellatone 60L, which supposedly is close to the V30, without the mid spike. Almost like the WGS Vet 30. I am wondering what to mix with it. I already have a 2x12 with a Scumnico in it, with the second speakers changing all the time, that I use for my classic rock, vintage rock. I am looking to use the 60L cab for my 80's metal, hard rock cab. I am looking for something to use for Maiden, Priest, early Metallica, and the sort. I also have a EVM12L in a Thiele cab. Any recommendations for a speaker to mix with the 60L would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking one of the following:

WGS ET65
WGS HM75
WGS Reaper 55 hz
Hellatone 30

Definitely leaning to the ET65 or HM75, but I can't decide. I am a little worried that the HM75 might have a little too much in the high end for me, and I don't know if the ET65 will have enough bottom end. I can listen to videos all day, but would rather lean on personal experience of those who have used any of them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

im new to the whole mixing speakers but from what ive experimented with and read you need to try to match the sensitivty on the speakers or else the loudness of one might over power the other.
v30's are 99/100db i believe. so try to match it with something similar?
hope this helps

A couple of things I left out. I will be running my Eleven Rack into a power amp, into the cab wired in stereo. I will be able to control the volume of each speaker.

Thanks for the help,

with the WGSs, i would worry about the loudnesses not being matched to the 60L. i tried pairing a WGS British Lead with a Celestion Classic Lead and G12H30, and the WGS was noticeably quieter than either Celestion.

i would pair the 60L with another 60L. :) i have a pair of them in a Bogner OS 2x12 and it sounds awesome. the 60L compared to a V30 has punchier lows, less high-mid spike, and a bit more top-end highs. so for me, that extra low-end and slightly scooped middle, compared to V30s, sounds awesome for heavy stuff.

I wish I could get another 60L. I will just have to watch eBay. I got this one, but lost the auction for the other half of the pair. Thanks for the heads up on the loudness.

If you go with the HM-75, I have an essentially brand new one (16 ohm) I'll send you for cheap. They have a tiny bit more mids than the GT-75 and MUCH better highs......no papery sizzle.
