I have had excellent response from using these cables. ( speaker, mic and guitar leads)

I'd just get a decent, well built low-cost cable. It's just sending a data signal to change a preset. Either it gets there or not. Not really impacting tone - so who cares.

Exactly! Just make sure it's a sturdy cable, you don't wanna buy another one in a week.
