I picked up a Ibanez Prestige RGT3020 at a pawn shop in Reno a few years back for $300 out the door. It was dirty as hell, but after some thorough cleaning and a good setup it's one of my best guitars.

BEST: Scored a MINT USA made 2008 Jackson Adrian Smith San Dimas for US$1500, the seller even brought it to my house to try first, such a great guitar

wow, you are lucky. I have sold a few things for what I paid, but mostly lose a little on a deal.

Overall I've probably broken even in around 12 years of gear whoring......trying to stop selling now because the market has been in the tank for past couple of years seemingly.

Best deals:
- 700$ dual rectifier 3 channels!
- 1100$ Framus Cobra
- 1200$ for a custom hand made guitar form Marc Chicoine (Canadian luthier in Sherbrooke)
- bought a second Marc chicoine for 560$ + a guerilla guitar
- Empress eq and compressor for 150$ each
Not so much worst deal but:
- Paid a schecter 1000$ with case and sold it 750$ few months later
- Bought some Yamaha H80M monitor and had to bring it bad to the guy cuz the speaker was cracked..!
- Bought a PS4 with optical lens broken ( I know this isnt a musical instrument..!)
Had many more things but I'll keep the rest for another day!
