whats the opinion on the V2 ninja?

just listened to some clips and it sounds pretty good. any thoughts? whats the difference between the regular, the ninja and the archetype apart from cosmetics?

Haven't played it, but I could care less about it. He isn't even using it. He's playing an RM100 now. He'll be back to 5150's soon enough though.

Yeah, I knew he wouldn't use that V2 for long. Even when he was playing Krank's he went back to 5150's before he switched over to Randall. That signature V2 is all about money, I guarantee you he doesn't like the tone of those things, at least not enough to use it over other amps.

when i saw them live, his amp kept cutting out, as i couldnt hear him, and he kept going behind the signs to check it. chris's was fin though.

Same thing happened to him when I saw them at Ozzfest a few years ago. He was playing a Krankenstein then. Sounded like garbage when I could actually hear him, except for his leads.

Mike was using the RM100 on there first Rise of the Tyrants tour because the prototype Ninja's weren’t ready in time.

The Archetype hasn't been finalized but right now the prototypes have the same brighter higher gain tube channel as the Ninja and will have a higher gain SS channel as well since that is what Christian uses the most. Also the graphic EQ may have some of the frequencies moved up or down.

Engl somthing, 5150, and a Randall T2 as the Ninja wasn't even created yet. There's a video out there somewhere of Angela recording vocals and there is all of the amps set up in the control room.

Yeah it was a T2. They have the same power section but the T2 is an all tube pre, lower gain, and a has a shared EQ between clean/OD. The V2 only has a tube 3rd channel along w/ a SS clean and OD. It also has a graphic EQ built in like a VHT Pitbull.
