Whats your favorite Marshall ?

I was limited to 10 selections so feel free to post what i missed.

Jubilee. Many consider the best Marshall. Not on your list.

A glaring omission.

Stock would be a Marshall 50 watt Jmp and Jubilee for modded my Jmp 78 super bass/Gower Rockmonster .

I have several, but my fave is a Gutierrez modded JCM800 50 watt. I also have a Kerry King that kicks ass....but I wish it had a loop.

Not qualified to answer but following.

The best Marshall I've heard was a clip on here, in the Classifieds of some kind of modded Marshall a few years back. Have searched and can't find it for the life of me. It was amazing and wished I'd marked it.

JVM1H - Awesome for home recording. Can crank the clean channel into overdrive without inadvertently summoning the police or angry neighbors.

Should have left the reissue out. They are left behind by the originals every time.

Man, this ones a tough call, not sure what I would choose at this point.

:)

I know some guys rave about the reissues but they're way to brite & don't have the same feel as the old ones.

89-91 JCM 800 2205"s.
I have 2 that were hot rodded by a local guy Keith Durand and they are just monstrous. Enough for me to sell my Friedman Steve Stevens SS100.

Don't care what Chartveldan thinks, since he can barely play. However.

Owned dozens of classics.

72 Marshall 50 watt
68 Plexi Super lead with lay down mains.
68 Bluesbreaker 4x10
1967 Pig 200 Watt head
1969 Marshall Major
1969 18 watt head
1975 Park 75 watt head
1970 Kitchen-Marshall 100 watt
1978 Canadian 100W JMP head
1981 Vertical input JCM 800, Dagnall transformers. I know, should not exist, but had it.
1987 Jubilee 100 Watt

Had several modded, Lee Jackson, a Rivera mod, Soldano modded, and 3 Colbys, each had their own thing.

I believe there are amps as good or better than the originals today, Ceriatone, Cameron, Fortin, and others that get that tone people want. Friedman is cool, except crack den Dan somehow owns them on disability money we paid for. My tax dollars should not pay his amps.

A great time to be alive for Modded Marshall tones. I have literally had more than I can remember when doing Guitar shows in the 90s and early 2000s. Not many I have not played or owned. I believe Wizard is the best Marshall styled amps I have played. They have hit the mark 100%. When Ac/Dc uses your amps as the Marshall standard, you have arrived. I. Want to play the Marshall Meshuggah amp. Can't believe it is a 50'watter. The best lead tone I have ever heard from a Marshall is the 72 50 Watt, and Park 75. Rhythm tones, hard to say. Wizard blends the 2 for best in my book.

IDK WTF youre talking about 30 years in the Trades im retired.

Have fun in the Rat Race.

The only amp you listed wortha shit is the 68' laydown.

* For the record SSDI isn't "taxpayer" money its earnings the worker pays over decades if you don't put anything in you get nothing out. Its about an 8% return like Social Security.

... invest in coal its the Future.

You are a moron, and know nothing. Sad my tax dollars pay for your nonsense. Retired at your age? Right, disability for mental problems. Yo also know very little about Marshalls. Those are some of the best ever made. Wish you would take the zap for the peace of the universe. Please.

When was i going to jail again ... ?

Lies, Lies & the Lying Liar.

Off yourself for humanity sake.

Id take the 68 & Soldano and donate the rest along with your really bad taste in guitars.

Im telling you Coal is the new Gold.

I want to hear more about this!

My favorite is the Jcm/800 50 watt. And I have one, I am running RFT power tubes and I have an original Mullard in v1. It's actually a 4104 so it's a 2-12 combo. But I just put lynchbacks in it and I have to say, this is my favorite.
