Looks like the JCM-800 is leading the way ...

I said 1960's plexi. I've owned a 1967 plexi since 1990 and it has a certain tone I've yet to hear replicated. Sure the clones come close, but all of the ones I've played missed the mark.

The 60's Plexi's with a PPIMV seem to have this powerful headroom thing going on and less compression than the MV Marshalls among other things.

Can't beat an old Marshall.

My favorite has always been the early 80's 2204's. Found one near mint and bone stock cheap on consignment in a small coastal music store a few years ago. It's the best Marshall I have ever owned. I will never sell it. It was built in early 1984 and one of the lasts 800's made with vertical inputs.

Honestly? I pretty much like them all, damn it! Overall I have a soft spot for the 100 watt late 60's and early 70's plexis/NMV Super Leads and the JCM800s though.

Yup, much like beer...my favorite one is my next one.

Splawn should be down there with the AVT/MG riff-raff.

Wait, did I say that aloud?

I've owned MANY Marshalls from different era's over the years. I've had a stock JCM2000 DSL 100 for the past year and a half which I absolutely love. It covers many bases and has a good FX loop as well. Also sounds great with a boost.

Surely you're kidding.

Why isn't the JVM 410H in the list or even in the graph?

I know it's noisy, but there's lotsa Marshall goodness to be had there.

Maybe it could've been included instead of the "Reissue" category.

Lies, Lies & the Lying Liar.

Off yourself for humanity sake.

Id take the 68 & Soldano and donate the rest along with your really bad taste in guitars.

Im telling you Coal is the new Gold.
Lies??
You calling someone out as a liar? That's rich
Pot, meet kettle..

-life long MARSHALL man, since the 80's mod era, MARSHALL aren't the best MARSHALL , I'd take a 68 SL, sell it for a WIZARD.

Yep, just messin' around.

Everytime I see this thread title I think of the bridge keeper in Monty Python's Holy Grail.

"Plexi...no JTM45...aaaaaahhhhhhhh!"
