That would be like Porsche slapping their name on a cheap car just to get some of the cheap money. That would dilute the name and make the brand LESS valuable. High end is high end because it stays in the high end :).

You mean like the Boxter? ;)

Porsche makes a Carrera GT...priced at $440,000. They also make the lowly Boxter...at $47,000.

This is a 10/1 ratio for cost between the highest and lowest line. Guess which one makes them the most money...

This would be the equivalent of a $500 Diezel.

Next?
That "lowly" Boxter may be the cheapest Porsche available, but guess what? EVERY single engine, even the engines that go in the Boxters, are 100% hand-built by Porsche, just like Diezels. Even the cheapest Diezel, the Einstein, is completely hand-built, even though it is the cheapest model available.

If you're not in business to make money...you're not in "business"...you're in "philanthropy".

Either you want to help humanity...or you want to make the most money possible.

Is "Diezel" a business or a philanthropic enterprise....or something else entirely? If so, what?

This whole "make as much money as possible" has led to this beautiful financial crisis from 2008, which in my opinion will happen again anytime soon.

With some companies as probably Diezel it is not about either "make as much money" or "being philanthropic", but to offer a bit of an exclusive kind of product by sticking to the companies values in terms of quality, production circumstances, philosophy, etc.

They are not "overpriced" nor "unaffordable", they are set in a price range for people beyond beginners level knowing exactly what they want.
As with the Ipad-example, everybody has to think for themselves "do i really need this?". What do I need an Ipad for? What do I need a Diezel when I am 14 yrs old and I've just started playing guitar?
If you can't afford it, buy something in your price range and save money for it, but some kind of "Designed by Diezel" Chinabox just for the logo would be wrong.

By the way, how could an amp company help humanity in any necessary way?

I am just re-reading my previous post from last night with a fresh head and have to appologize for my bad german english ;)

Sory to chime in but I design the boards
by myself and clean the restrooms by myself.

A Soldano made out of Michaels workbench
will never sound like a Soldano.

Lot´s of US manufactures are going to
produce outside, we not.

The high prices of our products are created
by small finances and the margin of our members
to pay their bills.

I am so glad that you do things exactly how you do them. Because of that you will have me as a customer for life

I may not be the best guitar player, I might not even be that good, but I have a respect for really good tone, craftsmanship and support. Diezels have those exact things that I love.

Something mass produced in china I bet won't. Even if it has a Diezel logo slapped on it.

I don't mean to be rude but, I do hope the original post is a joke.

I understand the need for a single channel Diezel and Peter Diezel did start out that way... I have a Marshall JMP 50 watter with Diezels Mod.
Maybe Peter could have a small Department that could offer a taster.. Hot rod your Marshall with the Diezel flavour? just to get you started? and it wont cost the earth?
I do think that if that was to happen though Peter would get swamped with Marshall from all over the world so...... maybe not lol
The Diezel Flavour from the Marshall has led me on to wanting make a purchase of a VH4 as soon as funds permit......!

However Diezel amps should remain Patriotic and poeple like me admire them more for that!

I think a stripped down Diezel is a cool idea, but not the outsourcing part. Diezels should only be made by Peter and co. Besides the Einstein is already a fairly simplified Diezel design and they can be had for a reasonable price used.

I'm not saying it's a terrible idea, just that Diezel is not the type of brand that should or would do this.

Yeah the einstein is simpler than vh4 or herbert but not simpler than most amps out there.
Id also like to see a non master volume single channel diezel, with excellent touch dynamics that can go from clean to mean with the volume knob! No loop nothing! Made in germany of course!

In my opinion this single "made in China" amp would not work. Their are so many player is this lower segment. Diezel would never be able to compete. Futhermore all the communication and organisation with a Chinees amp builder sounds like a a lot of work. Mr. Diezel would not be here on this forum helping us with our problems....

Could we maybe see a "Made in German" single channel amp in the future. . . .Maybe around $2,000 U.S. ? Possible based off the Channel 1 of the Einstein featuring all three modes still? It's a pretty amazing channel with the three mode options. Possibly the best all around channel I've came across.

only the modes 2 and 3, no loop, 50w
maybe just the mode 3, but not as high gain (since I already use the gain around 3-4)

No Loop! Peter's is one of the best! Gotta have at least one loop on a Deizel. And yes mode 2 amd 3 amd the Bee's Knee's! I'm there all day with my cover band. Those two modes with a comp. and boost pedal are all you really need.

you lost me at "made in china"

That was just an idea to try and get the price down...another way to say "Using cheaper labor". Czech Republic is known for musical instruments and obsolete electronics...perhaps they have labor which could be utilized?

Think LESS about "China" and MORE about "Single Channel Diezel"
