Gary Moore 80s era

Peace Sells Megadeth

Most all have been mentioned (for me. Hendrix, Page, Beck, Blackmore, come to mind...)

Townshend, and Steve Marriott (Humble Pie, Small Faces), Ron Wood (Faces) also say Marshall to me.

According to Lynch, ULAK was primarily a bone stock purple 1959 borrowed from Aspen Pittman.

The SLO did a couple of solos, the rest was Aspen's Plexi from most reports.

Lynch = Rockman X100

Fixed..... :)

OH man why you do me like that George?????

My yngwie guard shows up tomorrow and the ranchcaster is complete!!!
Couldn't resist!

BTW....I threw in a set of YJM's in the neck / middle of my Anderson tele. Much better than the Area 58/ 61 that was in there....

I am hoping I dig the Yngwie set as much as I am the crap singles in there now, now that I can play with lower gain pups I love the sound

no sense in rehashng what already been mentioned..... BUT my absolute favorite Marshall tone is from Dino Cazeres, Demanufacture. :inlove::

I think about Slayer... which is probably not the answer you were hoping for. And Jimi Hendrix of course, but to get his tone you might need to sacrifice a whole lot more, starting with your hearing...

Slash is tricky, I've read that his Gibson LP wasn't really from Gibson and his Marshall amp wasn't really the amp he played on records. His live tone wasn't always that great in my opinion. He might be the wrong example for your Marshall dilemma.

Gary Moore, Yngwie, Blackmore, A few who have been loyal from the begining

For "stock" Marshall I usually think AC/DC or Bad Company

For what I call "classic boosted" I think of Ride the Lightning or Balls to the Wall

For what I call "modern boosted" I think of late '80's (or early '90's) Zakk Wylde or Harry Cody on 2nd Coming

For fuckin nutty Marshall roar. though, Big Jim Martin on the Real Thing is hard to beat.

Marshall Faulke :D
