Where do all of the extra guitars go?

This might be a silly question...

So I was thinking about this… I’m on the hunt for a music man luke iii hh in olive gold. But I can’t find them anywhere… i’m on 10 different guitar forums, ebay, reverb and looked on the webpages on dozens of dealers… no one has this model in stock(new or used).

Then I got to thinking… where do all of the unsold guitars go? Do they go back to the manufacturer? Get sold to a 3rd party? Where do they go? Or do they just end up sitting on the shelve at the dealer?
