Where can I find the USA production san dimas guitars for sale? I'm just looking for a black USA pro mod san dimas. The ones they made several years ago. Where would be my best odds of finding one? Thanks.

EBay, reverb, GC.com...forum classifieds...good luck!

If I remember correctly, I think they are moving production of those guitars back to the US. So if you hold off then you can get a new one!

This would be great news! As long as they are up to par with the 08-09 run, I'm in!

Doesn't mean it isn't true, but I haven't heard this.

I played a Mexvel (that really sexy 'light green' So-Cal) last week and was very impressed to be honest. The setup was incred in stock form and the neck was damn close to my US pro mod, had a ton of flaming going on, way more than any Japan model I've seen. Glad I didn't cave though and will cross my finger the rumor is true.

I've been impressed with all the pro-mods of all nationalities.

There's one in the classifieds right now, its MIJ however, meets all your other requirements. Not a bad price on it either.

This! I have one of each, MIJ and USA and the difference is negligible. Just sand down the tinted finish on the MIJ and its virtually the same axe.

I've got a MIM So-Cal. I love it. It's my go to guitar.

Well crap, I kinda feel like a bit of a tool now. I could have sworn I read somewhere that they were moving production back to the US. Matter of fact, I though I read it on this very site! Oh well I cant find the link so I guess it's not true. All lies!

The Music Zoo caused a stir when they posted an ad with the So Cals in front of a Charvel USA logo, but I've heard nothing about those actually becoming USA made again.

I haven't heard anything about them coming back to the USA. They certainly won't come back at the $899 that they are selling for now.

That's me. But I can't get you a USA built Pro Mod unless a used one happens to come in in the near future. I had one of the metallic blue USA ones a few weeks back and sold it in a few days.

I still have my 2008 USA Charvel from you Curt. I still love it.

Yeah, you loved that thing right out of the box. They were really nice guitars for sure.

How much should a white one, USA, in mint shape sell for these days? Style 1, snow white with the 2 zebra Duncans?

I am so glad i hung on to my USA pro mod san dimas.
i did mod it though, did a retro mod on mine.
The neck is thinner than stock with BC tru oil on it,
brass hardware(rings,knob,round string tree,strap buttons) and i used a
Gotoh 1996T in gold on it to match the brass parts.
it is pearl red.
Real close in feel/tone to a old original.
