From what I have heard of the blackstar amps, I have extremely high expectations
I usually don't post opinions if I can't support them with some facts. Yes I own a -91 SLO. It's great but I'm not sure how it will react if you drop the tuning lower than D. It is a bit loose sounding on the bass strings.
The Blackstar amp hasn't been released yet, but I have talked to the Blackstar guys and a colleague of mine tried it at a NAMM preview. He was very impressed and I trust his judgement. If you mean the M90 go here and read my review:

The M90 and M60 are a really great amps, but I prefer the SLO. Just my opinion
