Hey guys. I’m looking for help from those who own or have owned a bogner
I’ve hadareal interest in ubershall lately. But I’m not sure of the differences in them. I see rev blue etc.. which one is the most versatile and musical I’m not looking to use it for just heavy stuff. I’m also curious into running it together with my splawn was quickrod andsometimes alonefora different flavor and tone. which version has the better clean tone ? And which version has the better smooth lead tone ? Thank for any input and knowledge guys

I don’t have any experience with the Ubershall but don’t forget about the 20th Anniversary Shiva. It’s one of the most versitile amps I have played. Cleans are excellent and still gets very heavy.

Yeah man I have to second this. I don't think anyone gets an Uber for versatility.

This IMO is the best comparison I've ever read. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=103936

Had a rev blue that I loved for the hard rock stuff I do. But it really can’t be dialed back to get into more traditional or classic tones. You get choose between a lot of gain and a shitload of gain. I actually liked the clean channel, but only after dialing it in a little strange. If you’re looking for versatility in that price range, you might want to consider a 20th Shiva.

Yea. I was curious if the xts was a better option as well. They have great lead tones from clips I’ve heard. There’s a part of me that wants to see how big and nasty a ubershall mixed with a quickrod too.

Ive never tried a Bogner in stereo but I can say that the early green Ubers are probably one of the most massive heavy tones I have ever had. The Twin Jet was very good as well but tighter. The early Ubers just have this very distinct roar that you just have to hear for yourself.

Ive never played a Blue but literally every Bogner I have played (about 4 or 5 now) was a very impressive amp. Cant go wrong with any of them but it's more of a which flavor do you want kind of thing.

I have an Uber and 20th Aniv Shiva, love them both. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the Uber versions or if you wanted to do the 20th Shiva. It’s splitting hairs, I’d find a used one for a good price somewhere and just get the cheapest out of them. You can always flip later and try the others.

I’ve had the Uber for many years, it was my dream amp for a long time and I can’t ever see letting go. I picked the 20th Shiva last year in a trade and was completely blown away. It has a low mid growl that is fucking heaven.

I had a 20th anny shiva and loved the low mid growl. Great amp. I sold it and grabbed an Uber rev blue. Much happier with it for the heavy stuff. The 20th gets real brutal, but the Uber is even more brutal and is much thicker with gobs more low end thump. The rev blue I have gets great classic rock tones on the lead ch with the gain dialed back and with the appropriate guitar/pickups.
