LP. No Floyds for this guy. That LP is sexay.

Besides, you already have a Suhr! Tonal variations and different guitars with different tunings! All the guitars! That's the dreams!

Completely different animals. If you don't have a good LP, definitely find one!

Jesus.

4K+ these days?!?!

I am SO glad I found a guitar that works for me.

Every couple of years, I get the LP/ Singlecut itch, and grab one; I then usually sell at a loss, within 6 months, or less.

I enjoy them for a minute, but the Strat shape is home (for me).

Not necessarily picking between those two, but LPs for me fo'sho.

Gotta go with the Suhr. Owned several Les Pauls and just cant gel with them. I wanted to.....but just dont.
Super Strat guy till the end for me.

I like the look and sound of LPs but I can't play 'em worth a damn. Plus no whammy kills it for me.

Can you participate in a thread and not come across as a dick?

Maybe if you can start one that makes any sense.

Geez...how hard is it to NOT click on a thread? OP has a legit question. If you don't like it then don't click on the thread! Ridiculous!

Suhr modern for me for many reasons. Scale length, flatter and thinner neck, 24 frets, weight, neck angle, and bridge type. I just can't do the TOM bridge that is not sunken and i really don't like nay guitar that i can't rest my thumb on the back of the neck.

Have you considered the Anderson Cobra or Cobra S ? Fender body styling with Les Paul woods and scale length. Give them a look, if you haven't yet.

They both look great! I am more of a fan of Les Pauls without the pickguard. If you want variety, go with the Gibson. If the Suhr is spec'ed different from your other than you do get some differences while retaining the the features and functions you already love and trust about John's guitars. I believe I have read your comments about Les Pauls in other threads and I got the feeling that it is the equivalent of putting a square peg in a round hole for you. I like Les Pauls but very happy with my Anderson Bulldog. I say go with the guitar you really want and most comfortable with.

Again, they both look great and I'm sure you would kill on them.

I prefer the tone of a LP, but like how the
suhr looks better than the LP you posted. I'd look for a nice goldtop or LP with a really nice figured maple top over the one you posted. ymmv

have you checked out Eddie's Guitars as well? I bought an amp from them a few years back and they had great service. They carry some killer Suhr and Gibson guitars. Check them out: http://eddiesguitars.com/suhr-guitars/ or http://eddiesguitars.com/gibson-electric-guitars/
