I pursched a pre owned mint condition JS1200 a few months ago. It is my first Ibanez, and although the guitar plays great the dimarzio pickups are really not cutting it for me at all. I have always been a Duncan guy anyway, so which models would be best for a basswood guitar?? I have always liked the custom custom bridge and '59 neck combo, but I have those in alder bodied superstrats. Any ideas guys ??

I used to have 59's and JB's in my JS1000 back in the day, and I remember them sounding real good in there.

I have a few guitars with jb's as well, so maybe I will be safe with either combo.

Man I hated the pups in my jS1200 too when I had it

For Dimarzios in basswood I like the Tone Zone/Humbucker from Hell combo...or an Air Norton

Ya Lord, its like I know they are quality pups, but the just suck   What does the axis have in it ? Tone Zones? I know they are basswood also, those might work as well.

Well I have a Tone Zone and a EVO 2 in a SoCal and I need to pull the Tone Zone. It's too bassy for me. I have always been a Duncan guy too. I am willing to trade if there are any takers. A JB or Custom are my first choices followed by an Afwayu.
