I bailed on the standard ones but like the Marshall & Mesa versions very much

Great speaker broken in, especially the Mesa version. I don't favor them anymore though. I really like the greenback tones so I am in the middle of changing out the rarely liked or enjoyed G12T-75s out of my Bogner with a couple of nice new Creamback M65s. Can't wait!

I have two Greenbacks in top of my Friedman 412 and two Creambacks in the bottom. Greenback tone with lots of bottom end. There wasn't enough bottom with all Greenbacks.

Is there THAT much of a difference between the two? I was checking and the MESA's are actually cheaper through them than the regular MIC's through online stores.. just wondering.

Yes, they are noticeably different. Everybody seems to think Mesa V30's are way better, but I think Chinese V30's are great too. They're less stuffy in the low-mids and are very grindy and up-front-sounding in a full mix. I'd love a cab with either Marshall or Chinese V30's mixed with Mesa V30's. :)

Not me! I love well broken in V30's......They are one of the industry standards for a reason
