I just installed two new 2024/25 production UK made Vintage 30's...

Besides this eBay dude, who is retailing these?
Sweetwater’s and GC won’t say where their’s are made. Is the $169 price telling or were the Chinese ones that much too?

Depending on how quickly they go through stock they should all be UK made now. The hype on V30s is the cone material. There are plenty from the 2000s era that dont sound all that great. The same for Chinese. I have a set from China around 2022 that are really good. I have a set from 2006 China that are also really good. V30 purists will tell you 2006 is the year they went to shit, but theyre broken in and sound great.

2025 V30s are produced in the UK. You likely wont know what youre ordering from sweetwater or GC unless someone can give you the code on the box. I ultimately dont think it matters too much, they all still have the distinct v30 tone. Depending on cone they may have a bit more of a high mid spike or they might be darker. Its a rabbit hole and you'll have to buy and sell a ton of them to find 2 you really like. It just isn't worth the hassle in my opinion.

I am a 12H-30 guy myself. I have two 12H-30 75hz cabs and one 12H-30 55Hz cab and since I loved my Mesa Roadster 2x12 from 2010 with the UK spec'd V-30's I wanted a cabinet different than my H-30's for tighter hard rock metal so I went with mixing the Mesa spec V-30's and then two news ones.

It's a nice departure from my 12H-30's so I like them, it doesn't make the V-30's the end all be all speakers by any means but these new UK made V-30 are an improvement to my ears to the standard offerings that were made in China.

Maybe there were some inconsistencies from even the UK made V-30 in the past. I do know I hated V-30's when I tried them in 90's, 2000's and I didn't hate the UK made Mesa spec'd V-30 and these new V-30 sound darn close to those. :2thumbsup:

Other than my Mesa cab with V30s I bought in 07 the only other ones I have are 2 16 ohm Chinese ones that I pulled from an early 2000s Randall 2x12. They have since been in my Krank 4x12 paired with 2 Vet30s.
Do they sound great? No. Do they sound bad? No again. The mix of the 2 however sounds excellent.

I would definitely like to try the new UK ones but I'm wondering are the refinements to the new V30 speaker just as noticeable in the room as when recorded?

I’m debating an X pattern of Creamback G12H-75 75Hz with G12H-30 75Hz. Would you recommend swapping either of these with the newer V30 or just save for an all V30 cab?

I would imagine that either the G12H's 75 watt or 30 watt 75 HZ would mix pretty well with these UK V-30's kind of like how the V-30's mix well in the Friedman cabs running Greenbacks and V-30's. As you can hear in Glenns clips, the mid spike is not as pronounced and the shrill highs are also gone in these new V-30's. You can X them or run the V-30 on the bottom like Dave F does since the V30's may have a little more low end, it really comes down to your preference.

I was going to put my UK Mesa spec's V-30 in the bottom and some Scumback Blackback 12H-30 75HZ 65 watt voice coils on top but I decided for better or worse to go with these new UK V-30's for something different than what I already have. I still love my H-30's but I decided to keep this cab all V30's.
