You know - this one:

I owned one. Not a bad cab. But the more i think about it, instead of a new Avatar cab I'd rather just spend an extra $200 and find a used Bogner. There's a 20lbs difference between them. That's a lot of wood!

20 pounds? I have no idea comparing the two weigh wise but 20 pounds of wood is probably at less over half a sheet of ply.

Well, yeah ;)

My hope is that somebody who currently owns an Avatar 2x12 and some type of wheat faced Bogner head (that doesn't match) desperately needs the Bogner valance I'm selling   Of course that would depend on finding someone who's as gear geeked as me....I can't seem to get a straight answer as to the inner dimension of the Avatar cab to determine if this will fit...

I called Avatar and the dude was cool enough to measure one but I think something got lost in translation and I don't want to bug him again....the width is exact, but the height is questionable by a small margin.

So yeah, anybody who actually owns one care to measure the front baffle dimensions for me ???

Thanks !

That's right. You were trying to get a black Bogner cab. I saw one for sale on Guitar Center's used section at a Maryland store. That was last week and i don't see it there now but they may still have it. Funny, they only charge about $20 for shipping on their used stuff.

I think i want to get me another Bogner 2x12.

Remember this?

"I just got my Avatar Vintage 2x12 in. I haven't loaded the speakers in it yet but from what i can tell, fuck Bogner and their bloated prices. "

:) he he... Just kidding man. I've made comments like that, then regretted it later when I changed my mind. I've never owned or even seen one of those Avatar cabs in person, but I don't doubt they're an excellent deal. I am really happy with my Bogner, though. I don't regret spending the ridiculous amount on it either, since it sounds so darn good!

Yes, but i needed to own both and spend more time with them to feel the way i do now. Of course that wouldn't be the first time i said something like that. And I'm talking about buying used, they can still shove it for their new prices.

If you don't mind the wait, you can get an EarCandy BuzzBomb that will blow the Avatar out of the water. But they're all custom made, so you'll have to wait a few months to get yours...

Thanks for the headsup, but I'm pretty happy with the way it is / looks now ;)

I need to sell the wheat valance to recoup some $$$

Pic of the Bogner 2x12 looked awful tall... why not just get the 4x12? Doesn't look that much smaller than the 4x12.

BTW, my Bogner 4x12 with a Mesa Roadster at the gig last weekend spat fire and pissed gasoline on the crowd. :D

I've got a 4x12 and it sounds great. It's actually a bit smoother an punchier than my Mesa 4x12.

Pete -

The OS 2x12 is much smaller than the 4x12 - at least 2" shorter (same width)  Its amazing how much easier it is to move around though than my old Bogner 4x12 straight cab. Also - I had a mod done to my XTC - it now spits gasoline and pisses fire but that may be more of a personal problem :D

Jason - thanks, got your pm, I'll give you a call
