The controversial selection comes as Mamdani, who won November’s election on a progressive platform, assembles his transition team.
Mamdani's appointment of Mysonne Linen, 49, was announced in a Nov. 26 Instagram post from Until Freedom, a New York City–based social-justice organization, where Linen is a leader.
Linen is featured in the social media post alongside Tamika Mallory and Angelo Pinto.

I can almost guarantee there is voter fraud in any state that does not require ID to vote.

Two police officers calmly approaching the home and knocking on the door. A woman answers and invites them in.
The footage then shows an officer entering the living room of the home, where a man was holding a knife. The person was later identified as 22-year-old Jabez Chakraborty.
Officers repeatedly order him to “put the knife down,” but Chakraborty ignores their demands.
The woman also attempts to hold Chakraborty back, but he continues to move towards the police. An officer then slams a door shut to block the crazed man.
He continues to scream for Chakraborty to put the knife down.
Chakraborty then barges through the door and marches toward the officer with his weapon. Fearing for his life, the officer fires his gun, hitting Chakraborty four times.
