Who's NOT jumping on the Kemper wagon?

Wasn't complaining, making a general statement however... And asked a question.
First, I'm not following you around. That would be fairly idiotic. Second, I'll be plenty busy today, as if that was any of your business. Third, you talking about someone else not being busy enough and posting on the internet by posting it on the internet is ironic. Understand, Mr Kemperson?

1st, one could argue you ARE in fact following around, given the fact that my screen name obviously left such an impression on you, that you immediately recognized
Me, and felt the need to post. 2nd, you could have fooled me with your SIX THOUSAND POSTS... And third.... Ahhh the joys of modern technology. I can be on shift as a career firefighter paramedic( what do you do again?) while taking a class online; and still have time to look at my iPhone to play with you on the Interwebz... Understand not so rogue?

Well one could argue it, but it'd be stupid. I recognized you because you remind me of another person.

You know nothing from behind your keyboard, but I appreciate that you think you do.

Ah, I see. So it's ok for you to be doing something while posting on the internet, but not anyone else? Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.

Perhaps you should post some more on the matter while complaining that someone else isn't busy enough. And then look up the word irony, so if nothing else you will accomplish something today.

Guys the 1938 comment was obviously a joke.

I have Bogners,Marshalls,Elmwoods,SLO and a BE100 so I have an idea of what I'm talking about.

I urge you to try a Kemper yourself and if it isn't for you not an issue.
But until you try one your comments are mute.

Just so you know, its moot !

"the Kemper retains the same thump as a cranked amp" so when you kemper is down low it has the same thump as up loud? bummer. My thump gets bigger with volume ..

for the record, I think the thing is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!
great device. just not for me. I will have it someday in its software version. Afterall, what you have here is a user friendly computer program attached to what ? a lower wattage solid state power section? Ive seen guys at church show up with their I phone and their guitar and sound killer. so what . ?

comparing this to tube amps is dumb. both can exist. this entire thread is "mute"  just teasing ya.

the thing is that when i tried to play FRFR it sounded good, but when put into a real cab with a real power amp it sounded awesome.
I dont doubt that recordings can be made EXCELLENT with this gear but why not use a head and cab for playing if it sounds more original???
Probably it is the sound of the microphone that i don't quite like... i just prefer being in front of a cab and being hit by the sound directly!!!

I see that you are obviously some kind of super English Lit major, using sophisticated words such a " irony". You even use it in different forms such as "ironic" and "irony". This is quite "ironic " to me that you have such a vast amount of time to learn such sophistications of the English language, when you clearly have a complete fascination with all things me( I'm blushing) and the Kemper. Which, if you ask me, are 2 pretty great things, so I can't say I mind such idolizing. As far as bein productive, I believe I delivered my 12th child in the field last shift, but I'll see If I can manage to be as productive as you are today though :)

Both of us tried it, we have a different opinion, I respect yours. Whatever sails your ship.
Did a profile of my amp, brought it to a gig with an FRFR monitor and the only thing I felt was, how different it reacts in a live context on stage and how I miss certain aspects of my regular rig. That was the end of it for me. I spent a lot of time dialing the Axe and I did not want to go back there. I plug in, I play and I'm happy.
It's a great tool, but it's not my cup of tea.
Well, you could always run the fully produced Kemper sound from the album FOH and run your normal amp rig for yourself on stage. That might be glorious...

Sorry man, those days of infinite budgets and major label greatness is gone with the downloads, especially considering metal acts.
Most probably the big time producers you mentioned are using the Kemper as a great tool to expand their armada of tools in reamping and for sure they are experimenting a lot with the Kemper or Axe or whatever else they feel handy. If they say that the new XYZ Studio compressor is the best since the invention of scrambled eggs, you can be sure it's a good tool, but they will not use that exclusively. Don't get into the illusion they track only with a Kemper.
I'm not a session guy, I don't need my perfected profiles to be available on my fingertips do lay down some tracks for a client in the most effective method. (cheap)
I strictly talk about live use.
Let's not try to compare in the room and recorded tones. The Kemper is reproducing the recorded tone, including the mike, the pre anything in the chain.
It can get pretty close to the recorded tone of an amp, but it cannot and never replicate the moving air and the way a pair of human ears capturing that particular sound. That's why it's a perfect tool for engineers, to do the multi sampling (profiling is such a hip word) and replicate the sound of a recorded amp through Neve, API, SSL or whatever pre with the best mikes available in a shed in the middle of the forest.
It's a great tool, but don't tell me it can come anything close to a tube amp blaring next to you. It simply does not.

Peace

Probably why I get calls all the time from studios to rent the real stuff, not looking for an Axe or Kemper

Jesus guys. Calm down. This is silly.

"I bought product "A". So anyone who dislikes product "A" is not validating my purchase."
"I bought product "B". Product "B" is superior to product "A" because I bought it so it must be better. I cannot believe anything positive about product "A" because then my purchase will not be validated."
"Mr.XYZ uses product "A" professionally so it is superior to your product "B" because someone besides me bought it also."
