Why do bands on a news segment doing one song need

a whole God damn full pedal board.
You're doing one quick simple song.
Do you really need to bring all the drama.

You see it every day on any given news channel. Just saw it on Fox news this morning.

4 guitar players with elaborate boards and no one stepped on anything.

They did one bullshit song

I agree with you bro. They do bands on the Fox channel here often. I thought about doing it but those people are douches, they don't pay, you can't play loud, and you have to get up at the ass crack of dawn to make it down there. And it doesn't really do jack shit for your profile cause what hoser watching Fox news at the butt crack of dawn is gonna go out to a blues show? If I got to punch the show host in the mouth it might be worth it....

Today was no national band.
They had some P&W band on this morning.
Played the last 3 minutes of the show.

The equipment they brought in was ridiculous.
How many boxes do you need to priase Jesus

The mega churches pay their pastors and musicians well so they drive mercedes and have the entire strymon line on their boards.

To me, my pedalboard is one thing. Once it's built, it's built. I'm not tearing the whole thing apart just because I only need one pedal for a gig. Besides, there are utility pedals that are always on on most of my boards. My tuner, compressor, boost, preamps, buffers, EQs make my base tone better than straight in, and it's really rare (for me, anyways) to not click something else on during a song.

Why would you ever watch the news ?
I don't understand it but there is a large percentage of people who have their tv on most of the day as some sort of weird comfort blanket. Like running a septic line into your living room except a septic line stinks a whole lot less.

TV in the dining room is usually on. Classic cartoons (METV Toons) 100% of the time.

Same.

I’ve even got a board set up to do electric & acoustic when needed, and didn’t share of gigs where I only used the tuner during the electric half.

I do have smaller pedalboards now, so I can justify having more stuff to play with. But it would honestly be more sensible to only have the big one.
