Well, stop voicing your opinion! Since when did this place become a forum??!?! :D

I think they're underrated. They don't work with every style, but they seem to work for whatever it is that I'm doing with them.

OK - that's all I'm going to say about that....

To be honest woth you bro, I think that I voice my opinion a little to much!! I'm starting to sound like a grouch!! :D

Nah, not even close, Ralph!

I couldn't get the SD80 to work for me at all, at least not at the volumes I play at.

The master was way too touchy, the amp lacked gain and I found the voicing to be grating. The low mids were boomy and the highs were harsh.

Other then that - great amp!

Take it FWIW though. I had a similar response to the Roccaforte HG-100. I suspect both those amps really need a mix of pre and power tube distortion to reach their potential and those volume levels aren't practical for my situation.

Some of the guys at TGP said when they went to MF they lost interest in Budda amps

Those guys kill me

Well, call me crazy but I love Bogner stuff and never really liked any Budda stuff. What I played was good for what it was but it produces a tone that just doesn't do a lot for me. I will say their build quality was good and if you are looking for a certain type of Rock tone, it is a fine piece but it just isn't for me. I felt for the cash, I could get that and more in a different product. On the flipside, if I could steal one at a great price, I would probably buy one just because I am slutty like that and don't own one. :D

There is a guy talking about Joe B. and his tone now with the carrol ann is the best he has heard from Joe, I thought for half the price Joe's SD80 tone was ripping

For some people, Budda's are the right tone. I too have heard clips that sound great. For my tastes though, I find Budda's too bright and unusable at anything less than live stage volume (in other words playing thru one doesn't put a smile on my face).

2 weeks ago I went to try some Budda amps, as the European distributor has a 25% off deal (yeah, the dollar is weak vs the Euro these days :D )

It was strange, the shop owner set me up with the SD 30 1x12 Combo and before flicking on standby he said: "it's a bit special, normally people need some getting used to its special tone, but you need to dig in to get the point"

I hit the first chord and was just amazed about the sound, just shouted at the guy (because the amp was so loud): "what kind of getting used to? This is awesome, I got used to this pretty damn already!!"

Obviously I had to walk home with it and since then - whenever I am not able to play it, I am craving for it, I am completely hooked, addicted to its syrupy, fat and dripping tone since 2 weeks, that's a long time for me

However, I think there are differences between the models. For example I have seen Bonamassa setting Treble at 0 on the 45, whereas I would play the SD30 never below noon, rather 2-3 PM setting.

I think the models need some tweaking, the SD30 is fine with "noon-ish" settings, but the 45 needs turning down on the treb. Also on HC the reviews for the 30 and 80 seem to be the most consistent ones.

Kage, and Mr Ralphie(also known as Mr Gainfreak):D

Kage i can understand Ralphie's point of view, your SD80 wasn't sounding properly , something wasn't right with that amp, i own it now and it went to Budda and has been taken care of.

It sounds heavenly and this comes from a long time tremoverb and mark IV user.

I truly love the Budda
