Why is it that somedays...?

My amp isn't quite doing it for me and then other days, like today, it sounds exactly they way I want it to? I either need 10 amps or an Axe FX or something.... But I gotta say my Vintage Modern is sounding so damn sweet today!!!
 
Axe-FX = digital, artificial crap. Stay away from them... :hys:

Tell me about it!! I've lost thousands because of this!! It seems I always want to try something else. Sucks!! Your VM does sound awesome though!!!!

Happens to me all the time. I plugged in last night and couldn't dial in a tone to please me to save my life from 3 different amps. Tonight, it all sounds good. THe ears play tricks, you just have to wait those bastards out...or bring a new amp in every week. :aww:
 
Happened a lot to me with my ENGL Morse, has yet to happen with my Mark V though :inlove:
 
I've noticed this too and I think it has to do with either humidity or barametric pressure and how the tubes respond to it. :confused: Either that or its the amp's way of saying, "Please don't get rid of me!" "I'll sound good!" :lol: :LOL:
 
You guys ever notice that you can play an amp at a shop or a buddy's house and it sounds KILLER, but when you take it home you pick apart what's wrong with it? Every time I play my friend's Mark IV I am floored. I can get the exact lead tone i want out of it, but I know if I bought one I'd probably find something wrong with it.
