They didn't show the poor guy twirling the sub shop sign out of frame, going out of his mind because his phone, playing a covering layer of Wutang, just crapped out...

People kept walking by because they wanted to be out of ear shot ASAP. Dude has mad skills but to most folks it's straight up noise. I'm with the folks who admire the dedication but can't take the lack of dynamics over time. Like Yngwie from the 90's on.

reminds me of the Chappelle episode with John Mayer. Nobody walking gives a shit about this in the current time and age. If the guys was drop down some rhymes, or some country singe folks would be stopping as that is more popular.

Sounded pretty musical to me IMO. Very clean and harmonic passages. The guy was telling a story but you were illiterate to his advanced language skills.

Meh... I listened to the whole thing. Kid's got advanced skills. But his "language" really isn't all that advanced. It won't speak to the majority of those who hear it. Now that he's (obviously) conquered any real technical hurdles/obstacles... may he apply himself to learning to say more with less. This comes from someone who used to worship Yngwie during the 80's and practiced his early stuff every day. I'm more into things that move me on a deeper level these days. Yeah... I'm gettin old!

I get what you're saying completely and sometimes less is more. I've never heard anything else from this guy but I'm guessing he can do so much more than a 2 minute lead.

And I say the majority won't and can't hear it because it is too far advanced for their pea brains to handle.

Music these days is so dumbed down it's pathetic. People like simple, repetitive and "catchy" because their minds only "catch" the simple and same formulas they have been hearing their whole lives.

This is why I like classical music so much and even death metal. The problem and sad part is most people just can't comprehend the incredible that is happening so they resort to easy. That's just my opinion anyhow.

I can understand simple. One of my favorite songs right now is the newer Foo Fighters song "something from nothing" even though that chorus riff is a blatant rip off of something I've heard only with a super badass bassline underneath.

Also in regard to previous posts. yes, people were walking and not looking at the bum playing a guitar for change but there was a small crowd behind the camera man paying their respects if you see the end of the clip.

Idk man Dave is pretty good for real. It's simple usually yes but you can tell he's put a lot of time into guitar.

You guys are right though and I just don't want to accept that others don't like what I like lol.

The stuff the kid was playing was an AMAZING SKILL SET
but a Snore Fest in the same breath, He was just Wankin' Away!!!
I'm sure with that Ability, he could slow it down and
play some Melodic, Tastey stuff.
Remember when Paul Gilbert first hit the scene?

Not that he's Older and Matured into his Style,
He has put out some of the Tastiest Songs, in the
History of Guitar Rock!!

Give this Kid some time to Mature Musically.
