Will he ever stop...PLEASE!!!

Can we just admit that Dave writes heavier, more awesome riffs than they do without him and that he is a better guitarist than Jimmy or Kirk put together? The downside is that people only mainly care about singing and Dave is not on the same level vocally as James.

Kirk is a better sub guitarist for Bob Seeger and the silver bullet band than Dave now that he has nearly 30 years of experience playing classic rock covers. I'll give you that much.

Totally respect this opinion, as these things are highly subjective and are a matter of taste...But no, we definitely don't all agree to admit this. Dave has written some absolutely great stuff over the years, no doubt. But nothing he has done (in my opinion) can touch Ride The Lightening, Master of Puppets or And Justice For All.

not a fan of either band.

but,
i saw megadeth play once, in a small converted movie theater in hawaii, walking distance from where i grew up.

they were 2 hrs late which sucked and that lineup featuring Chris Poland broke up after that gig.

i saw metallica play once, at monsters of rock in 88 at the packed LA coliseum opening for van halen, and the 3 concurrent mosh pits they triggered consumed the entire field, ripping down the security perimeter chainlink fence and all of the folding chairs in the “premium” front of stage seating area. it looked like a war zone from my comfortably distant 50 yard line upper section seating and i gotta admit it was great!

kirk is probably not losing any sleep from dave’s statements as he strums his $2M greenie in his mansion in Hawaii.
 
Even with bad vox 80's Megadeth over Metallica all day every day.

Mustaine will constantly remind us that he was in Metallica.

Hagar will constantly remind us that he was in Van Hagar. (That lineup damn sure wasn't Van Fuckin' Halen!)

They will constantly remind us of this even after they die, their grudges are so great. LOL

Michael Anthony is a class act. Never whined about being kicked out of VH. He talked about it, but never whined about it.

I am VERY tired of Dave going on about his sob story. In addition to being an addict, he was an asshole. Nobody wants to deal with that. In fact, he's still a crusty old bastard. Hasn't had an easy life and probably constantly fights demons but that seems to be what musicians and artists do and what makes them so great.

That said.., Marty Friedman. That dude is a genius and he is so positive and loves life and is good with people. Go figure..
 
I didn't really really mean for this go in the "Metallica vs Megadeth" direction...But it;s a free forum. I was just pointing out how petty Dave is by incessantly pointing out in every interview that he was mistreated my James and Lars, and that he wrote a bunch of their songs. Again, I like Megadeth...But this behavior from Dave makes him look like a petulant child or jilted ex-girlfriend. Just cheapens his legacy. I wish he would stop.

Yep, agree 100%
He's 1000x the guitar player than both Het and Hammett combined. His voice is not good, but can't imagine anyone but him singing Megadeth music.
He can't shut up about it and never will. He's butt hurt and the only thing that will fix that is a Ibogaine retreat. It is what it is. I mean the guy is obviously messed up in the head. He's got a supposed net worth of 15M. I think that is low. I would say closer to 30M if I were to guess.

So he gets kicked out of the biggest metal band of all time and only has a net worth of 15-30M and that's not enough? He's probably considered one of the Godfathers of thrash and that's not enough? He's got to be number 1 and that's never going to happen, so he'll never be at ease. You can see it in his demeanor. He's just a broken human. He's obviously no better than Musk, Trump, Gates and all the rest of them. Diseased in the head and nothing is ever enough.
 
We should put Megadeth and Metallica into the coliseum to battle each other, but then unleash some cryptic beasts on the "winner" to just get rid of them both.
