Wizard Effects Loop tube

2012 Modern Classic II , Has anybody used a different tube in this slot other than a 12AX7A ?

was hoping someone has tried it, but mentions.... it will likely just set the line level a bit cooler ( 70%~) and you would then have to turn the level knob(s) up a bit more to get the gain level you desire.
