Sounds great. Never played a MW dual, but the MW Triple is probably in my top 5 amps I’ve owned

Thanks man! I've heard the MW triple is pretty friggin nasty. Yeah, this Recto is ridiculously good, REAL happy with the trade for this one

Both sound nice. I've never played a Wizard but I get the impression they're like the Diezel VH4 and Soldano SLO in that the "magic" in-room tone doesn't translate perfectly to tape.
Thank you sir! More than likely my inexperience with proper recording technique than the amp.

It won’t play for me for some reason. I have an account also?
:dunno: I just clicked both links and they worked for me.

Worked on laptop and not my iPhone X :2thumbsup:
Wizards do sound a lot diff in the room.

From a tone perspective, I don't think it sounds too far off from being in the room with it, but some of the anger in it's voicing is definitely lost in translation. You also can't appreciate the articulation from the clip; everything is revealed with this amp. The recording also doesn't give any sense of the girth and punch, but no recording really does IMHO.

I was speaking to the room filling quality’s. There is a wideness and openness to the tone that didn’t get displayed in the recording. Boosts can also diminish that quality some, but it’s your thing so, rock it.

I couldn't agree more. The girth can't be capture on a mic. Being in the room with these things is a different thing altogether; they are wide and open like you said. I do like my boosted narrowed/focused tones ;)

I added the Uberschall Rev. Blue in there for comparison too.

Can't say I preferred any of them, but I did notice the part you play at the .30sec mark sounds like it was lifted from the song Five Magics.

I think he augmented it enough to avoid it being 'lifted' :D

Yeah, sounds just like it doesn't it :loco:       Maybe you ought to lay off the dust off chief. Last time I listened to that album was about 28 years ago, but thanks for reminding me what a great song that is!

I appreciate the defense man, but there's nothing "augmented" either. Honestly, I can't imagine how anybody could hear any correlation to Five Magics whatsoever. And for that guy to accuse me off stealing, well that's pretty fucked up.

:dunno: maybe a more appropriate comment on your part would have been : sounds like maybe Megadeth has influenced your playing at some point huh?

Wow defensive much? Lol.
Sorry wrong choice of word with lifted, I didn't mean you stole anything. A hobbyist demoing an amp cannot be accused of plagiarism by the way. Lol. The clips were meh, and 6 seconds of it sounded like a MD song, big deal lol! Anyways, keep chugging along Mikey, you'll get there!

Mike....your signature line.....

As for the clips...
1. The Uberschall seemed much less saturated than the Mesa and the Wiz
2. The Wiz sounded clearer than the Mesa

All I know is, with those three amps in the hobby room there's some serious sonic destruction lurking........

I've never been so satisfied with amp tones as I am with these 3. Don't know that I really need them, but it sure is fun ;)
