Got my new(er) MC25 yesterday...its pretty badass and for sure is a bit a different beast than my first one. It's voiced a bit different, seems a bit smoother in the drive dept, maybe not as aggressive as the 1st version. The rhythm channel has been substantially helped and re-voiced, the black cat mod is killer; It's voiced brighter now too, running the rear bright control almost off now. Another killer Wizard amp. Other guitar player in my band will likely end up with my first one, I can see selling that and my Bogner 3534 and chasing down an MCII 50. We're back Saturday at the same club we played on Halloween so I'll get a chance to see how it does live....
HNAD! Yep I think selling those two for a MC50 is a good move and I doubt you'll regret it.

Zen I wanna hear you do a wizard Diezel mix once your Herbert 3 arrives
Me too! Thinking about getting some good amp demos up on YouTube in the new year, this could certainly be one of them.

How many heads are on your wall ?
24, but the 2nd battalion is somehow growing. A secondary mini-wall is maybe on the cards, oh boy.

I am trying to decide between an MCII or the MTL, myself!

No idea which way to go!!
Hybrid.... or both!

I’m telling MTL2 with Herbert mk3 is the best . You’re lucky it comes with 6l6s . It’s way tighter than mk1 by the way. I kept both because mk 1 and mk 3 are like two different amps fr

I had a Mk1 Herb years ago, sold it during a purge. Have yet to actually hear a Mk3 in person so hopefully she's a winner. What do you feel are the major differences between them?

Mk3 is way tighter and not as rich . But still is rich . It’s a Diezel so it’s great . It’s a tad dryer than mk 1

Agreed, the MCII is a beast and has that superb bite that I think is unique to it. I know it's loosely based on a Jubilee but it crushes my 2555x, it's not even close.

I didn't buy the MTL for classic tones, was just pleasantly surprised at how well it can do them! Would love to try a VC one day but have a few old Marshalls that I'm not sure can be beaten.

Thanks. My Page comment was about me ripping of his licks, not his tone (y)
Ah, gotcha. I ask because I have a VC and am looking at the MTL for the higher gain tones. Not sure id part with the VC because it truly does it’s own thing within the Plexi sound (if that makes sense)
