Mids, mids mids. No matter what you do to any Mark series, they just won’t cover the room like a Marshall or similar circuit. My Coliseum, I have set fairly bright but when I run my 72 Tremelo at the same time, the Trem literally covers up the Mesa because of its midrange response. Even with the Coli cranked pretty well I hear the tremelo more. A Mark player either has to be the only gp in the band, or the other player better be using another dark amp or you won’t be heard.
Yep and take a Vox AC 30 and it will cover up the marshall

Here's UberschallEl34's clips of his MCII, IMHO the MCII wipes the floor, better bite, more clarity, better crunch more aggresion/growl.

Wizards...oh yeah.. those machines.
Official no ? wimps zone performance amplifiers.
For all you two pump chumps..
It's not the size of the wand..it's the
Wizard behind it.
Will add that even my MC25 with a pair of 6V6's absolutely cleans house on most everybody else's 50 watters and has 'hang with 100 watters' potential, easily.... The Bogner Helios 50 vs MC25 was no contest and the Helios is a fantastic amp....

Yeah the Wizards need a good amount of volume to do their thing. I’d also just add that Wizards will be much more open sounding and have this real rock solid quality to the notes that I’ve not yet heard in any other amp. The Wizards also are drier/less saturated and less forgiving feeling. I kept mine for its unmatched punch and note definition, but I play my other amps more often

Agree with all of this. I'll add that while the Wizards of course sound better as volume goes up, like insanely better...to the point that I still don't believe what I hear/feel when I play mine, all 4 Wizards I've had were the best low volume amps I've owned also. Even at lower volumes there's still girth, punch, balls, and tremendous articulation. For me however that's using an MXR in the loop, using the loop send/returns set at noon, and boosting the front end with an OD.

The "rock solid quality to the notes" Sam speaks of is absolutely true and I feel his description is the best way to describe it. No other amp I've played has this quality except the D60 and a 79 loop modded Mark IIB I had, but the Wizards offer more in this respect. The tone of the notes whether single notes or power chords just has this warmth, articulation, clarity, weight, and bite that is just in a league of its own. No other amp has highs like a Wizard either. The raw, open, uncompressed nature of the gain structure lends to the most open, clear, and pure high notes ever.

My old Hiwatt has some things about it that are like my Wizard. Kinda similar highs, also very articualte, and I think even more open and raw (2nd biggest sounding amp I’ve had), but nowhere near as tight, laser like or immediate and obviously less gain and more vintage-y (more like JCM800 levels). I bet if someone like Cameron were to mod a Hiwatt it might end up sounding similar to a Wizard. Maybe would just need the mids a little more in the Marshall direction and more modern components to fully get there
