I've played through Axe-FX, Kemper, etc. I'm still not sold for my personal needs. I really wish I liked them. I would sell off everything I have laugh all the way to the bank.

I am a HUGE HUGE wolf fan...like some of u are fans of evh or demartini...

And i have seen accept about 5 times...
I've seen wolf with the 200W jcm800,with dsl,with 5153,with wizards and with kempers....

As far as I can tell the kempers were the worst...
It was a good sound...but if u have heard THE 200Q BEAST and the wizard you could tell the defference...
kempers tend to sound digital and as I heard the treble got a little unmusical...

great live shows though and i understand why wolf does not take his wizards to a world tour....................

At 3:04 the note he plays just drops out. That was my only issue with the Kemper. With leads the notes could just stop. I thought it was user error on my part.

I couldn't tell if it was a Kemper or not, but it ABSOLUTELY sounded like stainless steel frets.
Plus I don't think he's using a 25k pot with that EMG!

Yeah. Someday it will react and feel like a true amp. Until then....my basement will stay tubed! And my occasional gig...

I can see why many touring acts use Axe/Kemper though. Sounds killer direct! And they can leave the real rigs at home..safely stored.

There is no way this super compressed youtube, who knows how it was recorded, mixed, mastered or any other intermediate thing clip could be anything but an exact sonic representation of what was going on. That tone is unlistenable; it sounds like a ukulele into a digital emulation of a metal zone and it is because he has sold out to the ones and zeroes. Those fans were all pretending to be rocking out; probably because they felt sorry for him.
