Worlds largest AI data center being built in Amarillo TX

I don't know if this is possible in the regular YouTube app or website, but in SmartTube you can suspend your suggestions' being based on recent viewings and then resume the behaviour once you're done watching anomalous stuff.

I'd take a look at your YouTube settings and see if it's possible to pause the "suggestions based on history" functionality.

It is possible yes. Thanks. You also have to be logged out of all other Google services I believe-

but either neither I try to limit my YT to a degreee.

Edit: YEP  Thanks

AI Overview
SmartTube (formerly SmartTubeNext) is a free, open-source, and unofficial YouTube client designed for Android TVs and streaming boxes (e.g., FireStick, Nvidia Shield). It provides an ad-free viewing experience, automatically skips sponsored content via SponsorBlock, supports up to 8K resolution, and allows for custom, high-definition video playback.

Good to hear it's possible for you bro'; I thought it might be.

Yeah, been a big ST fan for a little while now. It absolutely obliterates the standard YouTube apps. The QoL and customisation options are incredible and it boggles the mind that YT doesn't offer them or at least most of them.

This consumer ram shortage is just another reason to not have computers and such so integrated into our daily lives. It's time we go back to all analog.

I’m going Devils Advocate 😀. AI has the potential for significant benefits and, at the same time, the potential for significant misuse. I use it to my advantage almost daily. But, I have zero confidence that the old fucks in Washington have a clue which is which… Data centers aren’t necessarily bad, but the owners need to be forced to fund all infrastructure (electric and water) required for operations. In perpetuity. People will ultimately revolt if they are forced to fund the the infrastructure and it won’t be pretty..,

This is the same Texas that suffered an ice storm that shut down the electrical grid for entire state a year ago?
By all means, let's put more of a load on it.
Apparently the current requirements of the centre will be too much for the existing infrastructure to service anyway.

They're either gonna have to build their own power plant/s or the tax payer's gonna end up paying for new powerlines.
