As a kid I'd say gas was the worst. I'd obsess on shit and build it up unto oblivion I guess, because it would never meet what I thought it would be. Then on to the next thing and do it all over again.

Right now though, it's starting to build for me on the FX8. You'd think I would've learned by now. :bash:

The Day of the Dead Luxxtone that Brad had at his shop...I had the opportunity, but no money...so that one got away...I've regretted not buying it since.

I bought that; literally the worst sounding guitar I've ever owned.

Traded it back to Rob (who was very good about it) immediately.

Hope that kills your GAS.
Where is it now ??? Anyone know ? I played it through my Atomica when I went to buy it at Brad's store, and other than the neck being just way too fat, I dug it with that amp....maybe a pick up change ? I've found that I don't really like direct mounted pickups either...I prefer them mounted in a ring. Sounds better to me...

BE-100. I saw the Phil X video and I became absolutely smitten with the amp. I HAD TO HAVE IT!
Unfortunately for me, it was also the biggest let down of the century. Wasn't what I expected at all.

Similiar story for me gassing uncontrollably thru the summer of 2012 after seeing the phil x video. That November one popped up here in the classifieds for $2700 (cheapest I had seen at the time) but 2 years later I still have mine and it was all it was cracked up to be. Just an incredible sounding amp with great feel!

No man, it wasn't the pickups.

It sounded like I threw a blanket over any cab/amp I used, most muffled thing I've ever played. Seriously, not a subtle thing, at all; a/b'ing it against any other guitars was just a huge WTF moment.

It was just bizarre.

I had someone PM me after I bought it, asking if I had played it first, so I'm assuming I'm not the only one who noticed.

Right. Friggin. Now!

70s LPC 2 Pickup Black Beauty
Axe Fx II

My first 'good' guitar was a Memphis LPC copy. I loved the hell out of it. I've always wanted a real LPC.

I've been gassing for the BE100 for months. I've been getting my chops together in anticipation of how good they'll sound through it. Whatever inspires you, right?
