so im trying to learn about this AI generated rapper thats been in the news. heres the run down on the technology

"We’ve developed a proprietary AI technology that analyzes certain popular songs of a specified genre and generates recommendations for the various elements of song construction: lyrical content, chords, melody, tempo, sounds, etc. We then combine these elements to create the song.

As of now, a human voice performs the vocals, but we are working towards the ability to have a computer come up with and perform its own words – and even collaborate with other computers as “co-writers”

im imagining you put your favorite song list together, the computer(s) analyze everything about it and comes up with "Outdated80s" and starts pumping out mega hits with riffs, tone, production and everything you love. BUT... its not "real". its completely computer generated. you dont have to worry about showing up at the fair and the band sucking, they cant really play. what are your guys thoughts on this??

I have used random number generation to write riffs since 87.
At first it was just two 6 sided dice, but eventually I wound up using D&D dice too.
I would write it out on paper to where it looked like an algebraic equation.
Yep...I was a geek back then and nothing has changed.

I'm betting some A.I. thrash rhythms would be badass...as long as the time signatures were reasonable.
