Wow. There's three Axe's on the first page there. Seems a lot of people can't get it dialed in right.

Or they dont like how they sound dialed in... ;)

I'll put all my chips on this

According to the clown in this thread, and other forums, it's true.

Have you spent any time with one? I tweaked the HBE sim every which way and it sounded pretty good. For the price of a used standard i would take it over a lot of amps in that price range. But after you spend an hour with the Axe-Fx and you plug into a Cali mod, the words "screw that thing" did enter my mind a few times. :D

But, the Axe did smoke the 11R. IMHO

I think the Axe-Fx online police squad is taking applications. If you need a reference let me know!

You are not listening to the clown. When the clown speaks, it's truth. He will tell you that you aren't dialing it in right.

Yes I did, and I've heard them several times in live settings.
None of them impressed me as far as tone.
I think it is a great studio piece and has amazing abilities.
And most people at a live gig wouldn't know the difference if you plugged into a million dollar rig, and Axe or a Gorilla, but.
They fall short in the live department no matter how it's tweaked to my ears.
For a gigging musician I think it's a great simple setup that covers all the bases.
I just personally hear the synthetic sounds it produces.
Maybe my ears are just to sensitive.
YMMV

I assume you mean Dave. Since you have your Axe-Fx dialed in right can i hear a clip that comes anywhere close to his Cameron clips?

just wait until version 11, whole new ballgame

I was going to but I pulled the trigger the other day.

I have been working with the editor and it sold me. I don't care what people say about it not being like a tube amp or this or that. Its an amazingly flexible tool. For the two bands I am working with I can do what each of them requires with less gear and incredible flexibility.

I sold my AxeFX because I couldn't dial it in right.

Well maybe the actual Fractal guys at the NY amp show didn't know how to dial it in either because I only liked the Marsha patch....
Well, duh, obviously they didn't. :scared:

It may be the prices are dropping because the trendcore crowd is selling off for the next trend? Hard to say. Times are tough. Maybe people are only keeping the best of their equipment and selling the rest....??

It is great and all, but I have a hard time getting past the idea that the thing is nothing but a collection of digital counterfeits. Something very 'un rock and roll' about that.

But my opinion only matters to me....

My brother bought a Gibson Explorer for $150. Maybe the trendcore crowd is moving on and the bubble has burst.

Either that or somebody sold it cheap.

Let's see what a national craigslist search reveals, shall we?

Yep dumped right and left.
