yes because the sound quality of youtube is good enough to make it acceptable to end an internet wide debate.

I spent time on the Trainwreck Axe sim. They were ok sounding at best, nothing more. A real Trainwreck is something unique. The Marsha sim is the best thing in the Axe though, IMHO.

Did you hear it through my 120 watt tube power amp cranked into a 212 with an EV and a celestion sidewinder? How about through my 30 watt tube amp into the same cab cranked using a tele?

What did you think when you heard it through a VHT power amp into a mills cab with a 59 les paul?

How about through my studio monitors?

The answer is, it really sounds way different depending on the amp, the guitar, the player, the settings, the heat of the atmosphere, the mass of the ass , and the beauty of the cutie.

Bet ya 100 bucks I could make a real Trainwreck sound like shit.

It's funny when people say that the Axe sounds too digital but then it's okay to wash your tone from a tube amp head with digital effects units.

True. That's why I use a W/D/W set up and have my dry cabinet louder than the "digital" signal...
effects are for pussies.

It's the nature of boo-teek gear...digital or tube. Say what you want about Cameron's work ethic, you can at least count on those not to drop like a rock on re-sale since there aren't too many around.

yeah because the same half dozen guys keep buying and selling them to each other

When i use pedals with my amp they are only complimenting the base tone which is coming from the amp. I steer clear of pedals that take over the tone.

With Jerry making more of the std offering, I am guessing that this will change dramatically. It will probably be more like 20 amps per quarter and more once word gets out or a market penetration strategy is in place. People buy great tube amps. Gear sluts like us will always want the next hot piece of amp... :D

The debate on trashing the tube amp argument because people are using digital effects is interesting. Are there analog effects units available with similar 'signal cleanliness' and at a remotely reasonable cost? The argument seems to be saying that since you can only choose A, and there is no B to select, you must really love A. A is better than the nonexistent B.

The TC2290,H3000,digitech 1101,2120,33B IPS, ART SLA2 amp, Carvin DCM150 amp and most pedal are …….DIGITAL :D The TC 2290 is said to be the best delay (other than a Tape Echo) and warmest…go figure, its all digital. That being said I am a Tube Man  That being said I am still getting an Axe Ultra, weather for effects only or for amp sims.

I thought he said he was building the pre-amps and that Cameron was still doing the power amps and the final "tuning" of the amps. Plus I think Mark is the one with the paint pen for writing the labels on the knobs and cable jacks.

In other news Home Depot is coming out with a smoke shifter, invisible grass, and powdered water.
