I'd bet it's the plastic molex connectors, Ampeg used those in the VL Lee Jackson series and they were always a risk of heating up and melting to the board. Like the DSL 2000s they need to have the wires soldered directly to the board instead of using those plastic connectors.

Honestly if I ever see one again locally I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up. Thing was solid and sounded great. I never opened mine up to clean or anything. Back then I was young and dumb and pretty much dragged that thing all over the island and even on multiple beaches lol.

I've had three. I find them to sound great in front of a mic, but a little bland in the room. I also had two of the three die for unknown issues, wasn't really worth my money and time to repair. I never paid more than $300 for a head.

Forgot to mark this as found :aww: Grabbed one off a member here  But thanks for putting this up here!!!

How do these sound at Low Volume? I'm still looking for something that i can play during the day/night without really annoying my neighbors. My Soldano Avenger on 2 shakes the walls & scares small children, animals, little people.

After playing this near a week, I'd say it's a VERY good low volume amp ;)
