WTF is up with Mesa Boogie

I'm trying to make a point by asking the question. A $400 amp is not made in USA. A $4K amp is not 100% made in the USA. It might be really close but be realistic. And if it's not, does it really matter? A great design, built in the US, backed by good guys with a great warranty... you should feel good about that. But, as with anything, educate yourself before dropping the coin.

I could be wrong. I'll eat my words if it's proven.

Back on topic - You want a slick custom Boogie, you will pay what they ask. Parts and labor for it to be done perfectly. Has anyone tolexed a cab or head? Stretched a grill cloth? How did it turn out? How long did it take you?

Lastly, Boogies are fine amps and are good in my book.

But they are already going to tolex the amp and install grill cloth. It's worked into the price. To charge hundreds of dollars to pull it off a different roll is a bit extreme IMO.

Precisely my point. Other than that, no problem with Boogie.
