Wylde Audio?

Feel bad seeing people once in shape, flabby and in poor health. Hey, if I'm mistaken and he is in good health, then I'm the fool. But I feel bad....kinda like when Eddie was wearing those duck taped shoes and had no teeth.
 
I'm sure Zakk probably has shit on anything that wasn't a Gibson or Marshall right! Well....ah?

I remember a past forum member, Patrickjp, had his LP signed by Zakk and he mentioned to Zakk that he played Cornford not Marshall. He said Zakk kinda just stared at him cross eyed and didn't say anything.

I feel like I want to like his new venture, buuuutt I don't, geets look "off" and video didn't sound to well although it was cam audio, no matter there's always people that are gonna buy signature gear just because of the name its associated with.
 
As much as I'm perceived to be a jerk, I will say I would like to see Zakk do well with his line of guitars and amps.

Are the guitars horrible designs? Yeah pretty much. Did the amp sound like butthole? Yep. Does Zakk look like he's happy? Nope.

You gotta wonder what led to this decision? The guy has, up until today, conquered his self-destructive tendencies via the booze. I applaud him for that knowing how difficult it is from a personal standpoint. So when a guy sobers up, he has ideas... and a lot of those ideas may not be so bright. I don't know exactly if this is one of those "bad ideas", but regardless I hope he continues to move forward in sobriety and hopefully his designs will evolve and appeal to more than his SDMF fan boiys.
 
releasing a "demo" playing through the mini amp (SS I assume) soaked with effects seems like a bad idea .... hopefully the big brother amp will step up tone wise
 
Well first impressions are :
The guitars look laughably novice and cheaply appointed.
Horrible sound and playing in the demoes.
Amp and pedals sound like well...... fizzy,mud.
Zakk should know that image is everything.
Cant always polish a turd.

I usually don`t reply in negative ways but god damn it, where`s he heading to? What`s with the washed out in delay 1000 notes a minute crap? Can`t stand it. Ho used to be so melodic, fast, technical and inspiring all at the same time.

Agreed Zakk was a Force.
Still is but for different reasons.
Put an acoustic in his hands though and it seems too comeback.
But yeah the tale of 2 Zakks quite sadly.

This is very much in the vein of what his buddy EVH did. The difference is EVH has legit "legend" status and iconic instruments to to build on plus a well established sig guitar and amp to build his line on. The gear was well made and well designed and targeted the top of the market.

As big as Zach is, he is not in the same discussion as EVH in most circles. Those designs are are not unique. They are just obvious changes to existing designs to avoid getting sued. All of that said, presentation is everything. if he came out with a high end, pro level demo video to really show case it, it could have really been a turning point. To make a lame as selfie video that will be no different than the thousands of "cover" videos already on Youtube puts the brand perception in the toilet right out of the gate
 
i think the logo is cool. Im sure some of those designs are to keep him from getting sued by gibson. Even his bullseye design is a little different. I guess they even own the right to that too.

That natural V looks pretty cool, and the amp head and cab design look pretty cool. Its probably made like junk though. These are probably going to be on the quality level of Agile guitars
 
Guys, get over it. That video was posted by Total Guitar, NOT by Zakk and his new company.
 
I wouldn't be too worried about the tone either.. for starters it is a crappy camera mic. Then it seems to be that mini micro stack. Thirdly, he could make any great rig sound like $hit nowadays with the amount of effects he has in chain and the jumble of notes he plays. You can't go wrong with a straight up 2204 circuit with some mods. Sure the Bugeras and other companies may not sound quite as good because they haven't spent the money on the iron but really, decent caps and resistors and a tried and tested circuit, this thing is gonna sell as long as the build quality holds up and the pricepoint is reasonable. You'll get just as much resale out of these as you will your own clone if you try to sell it. The guitars are butt ugly but hey, the kids might think they are cool.
