You might ask your precious Sony why they aren't bankrupt. The PS2 didn't exactly fair too well.

Uhhhhhh... The PS2 has sold more systems than ANY OTHER CONSOLE AND HANDHELD in the entire world. It has sold more than the NES and SNES combined. The only other console that comes close to it is the PSX. The only handheld that comes close to it in terms of sales is the Gameboy, and that's including the Gameboy Color in the sales figures.

That nice and all, but it doesn't have much to do with how an ass fuck of them broke, which is what I was talking about.

You never once mentioned anything breaking. You simply said the PS2 didn't do to well for Sony, yet it's the best selling gaming device (not including PCs, of course) in the entire world.

That's all this entire thread is about. I was responding to him saying any other company would have gone bankrupt if they'd had an issue like that.

Mine never had the ROD and neither has my friend's, but it is a totally shitty problem. I've been thinking about buying one again lately, mainly due to the fact that LIVE kicks major ass, and there's a couple games coming out that I'd really love to play on LIVE.

Maybe I should go for a PS3 but that doesn't appeal quite so much with the lack of online gaming

That's all this entire thread is about. I was responding to him saying any other company would have gone bankrupt if they'd had an issue like that.

Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony won't go bankrupt because of issues like that. Microsoft isn't bankrupt, Sony isn't bankrupt, and Nintendo wouldn't go bankrupt.
