This may sound a bit hypocritcal as I am on the internet but IMO shutting down all social media, regardless of stance. It's the world's largest and worst game of telephone and has and will continue to do more damage than good. From continued division to destruction of young minds that often result in suicide, it needs to go. This is the extent of interaction with people on the internet that I do (email not included) and if the forums had to go to to begin to right the ship, then so be it.

I only keep FB for Messenger. I have zero friends, zero pics, etc. I follow a WW1 and WW2 picture groups. Absolutely nothing else. I chuckle when I get alerts that my "friends" are liking these "pages". Never been a member of any other sites. I will follow a link to social media posts if a friends sends it. Outside of that, social media is garbage.

I've always had the opinion that I'm just not that important to have to tell complete and total strangers what I'm doing 24/7. It's really none of their fucking business.
When I started seeing the whole "influencer" bullshit start popping up, I knew we were doomed.
