Yngwie Malmsteen Autobiography out in 2013!

I got to meet him in 1988. Despite his tremendous talent and influence on my playing, I thought he was a huge asshole.

It will be interesting to read what's behind the artist. I always thought it was cocaine and doughnuts......
 
What you see is what you get... he is a huge asshole. Even in interviews the way he carries himself comes across as pompous. As for having a hot piece of ass.. anyone with cash who flaunts it ends up with a hot piece of ass.
 
I met him on a plane to Sweden in July this year, he was seated right behind me. I said hey how's it going as we were sitting down and he just said hello and that was all. I didn't want to bother him. He was wearing that same stage outfit on the plane though which I thought was pretty awesome.
 
Yeah , considering he dresses like a Pirate 24/7, ya gotta give the guy credit lol.

As for his wife, she looks a lot like a REAL DOLL. Man made.. to the extreme..

I agree w/ you 1,000 percent. But... that all changed w/ the birth of his son. It was time to grow up...I can only imagine being a Father , but from what my friends tell me , it'll humble you real quick and it's time to act like an adult. He's calmed down considerably and has ditched the "Fury" attitude. He seems to be enjoying life and playing guitar. I haven't read about him talking shit, or acting the douche in any videos in a long , long time. He's self admitted his past behavior was "unacceptable. :lol: :LOL:
He's put on some Lbs for sure... maybe his chick has a thing for full figured shredders. :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL:

ps... and if his vibrato isn't the best I've around...wtf!?! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :rock: :rock:
 
I couldn't care less if he's an arse hole. he can play and I dig most of his stuff even though alot of it is repetitious
 
Rising Force is amazing. The rest is wank.

He is an amazing player though and has far more "feel" than people credit him for (even if he is repetitious).

This will be a great read if he really lets his guard down in the book. I really enjoy reading autobiographies of metal/hard rock dudes. DLR's book was a fun read for sure.
 
I'm sure the book will be like his playing........interesting at first then......zzzzzzzzzz..........
 
The guy's had a long career and stuck to his vision, unlike some of the metal fill-in hacks that get high praise here.
 
Despite the obvious spinal tap image, he has flat kicked ass for close to 30 years. One of the best players on the planet. That said I would love to hear a straight ahead rock /blues based album from him. Maybe with some different tones. I remember hearing a few bars of country type licks in a solo he did.just killer. ..
