What type of master volume is in that thing? PPIMV or some type of power soak ?

It's a PPIMV of some sorts. Doesn't take the volume down to bedroom friendly. The amp sounds best with it bypassed, but it's still quite nice to have.

It does reduce the volume though so you could (if you wanted) gig with it? How's the fx loop, do you think you could boost with an eq in the loop?

Yeah I could totally gig with it, even with the MV off if I used pedals for most of the drive. :)

As for the loop, with the volumes cranked you will overload what's in the loop, but with the amp not distorting that much it would work.

sounds as good as anything 3 times the price. Me thinks the man behind the geet has a lot to do with it but that tone is downright rippin. I wouldn't mind one of these amps.

Its no secret that a lot of these Bugeras sound great. I have a couple that I really like (v22 and 333xl).

If the loop is serial, you should be able to bring the volume down substantially with a rack effects unit going through the loop and if the rack unit has input/output dials. I used to do that with my old splawn. Sounded great.

Wow, thanks for the comments guys!

crwnedblasphemy , the loop is serial, but using the amp in the traditional Marshall way, aka pretty much cranked, it's useless :)
But when using the amp as a pedal platform and keeping it at the breakup point it works nicely in the way you suggest.

I don't know what it is about this amp but i am seriously considering picking one up. The cascade sounds pretty good here too..nice and raunchy. The components may be crap but i'm liking what i hear as well as the features of the amp! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd0C9qcPOmE

I actually had this amp for a couple of weeks. Sounds really good live too! I ended up returning it only because it's not usable for me in a live situation, because there is no way to reasonably get a (significant) db boost for solos (yeah, solos...need to hear my solo every once in a while, despite what the other guys in the band think  ). Other than that, very nice!
