A very close Second. 1984 Les Paul Custom, with the Shaw Pups. Sickening fast neck.

This is my #1 guitar that I still play with today.

It was originally Jeff Hanneman's that he gave to my friend who was Slayer's head guitar tech for more than ten years. He traded/sold it to me when he was between tours about six years ago, then abruptly both he and Jeff passed away within almost the same year.

This guitar I will never let go of. I know Jeff had two of these made which were almost identicle and the one that showed up on Ebay after Jeff passed away was not this one. I will never sell this one. Jeff and my friend meant a lot to me and I will be homeless playing for change on the street with this guitar before I sell it.

Sent straight from Heritage to Jay Glaser who pulled all frets and PLEK'd it with new SS frets, then to Jay Wolfe whom I bought it from new. My LP Std is close but this one is just special. I never play it out though, as pretty as it is it just doesn't look as cool as a LP.

Haha, yea these are the real deal. I LOVE high end acoustics but I am a paranoid fuck about the up keep with climate changes and I hate leaving them locked up in the case with humidifiers etc...This thing is immune to that stuff and sounds freaking amazing. The bad??? New is a boatload of cash, resale is shitty if your into doing that.

Desert Island? This new Composite Acoustics GX I just picked up.

dude!!!tell me everything about it---WANT.....

played one at NAMM and didn't want to put it down! through a trace elliot amp it was just about perfect acoustic tone and action and tension were epic. their display at the show had one in an actual waterfall. impervious to weather which would have been ideal for a friend i saw outdoors last night get rained out! fried his phantom powered fishman pre and haven't checked his kemper yet :aww:

My few favorites :)

(2) Jackson CS's I ordered and a Performance Snakeskin (might be my best sounding guitar)

Should never have sold this....absolutely beautiful and such a playable guitar..think I sold it for $8k

It's a toss up, but i'd take either with me to the island! 80's Custom Shop ESP and the Wildwood 10 light relic 62 reissue. The ESP almost plays itself. Terrible pic, but you get the idea.

I know, right? I got that on here for what I consider a very good price. Its almost mint to, no buckle rash on back. Pretty incredible considering the age.

My Suhr Carve Top Customs. The orange made from black limba, cocabola neck, macasser ebony board and Aldrich pickups is hands down the most aggressive sounding guitar I've ever played. That said for some things i prefer the blue alder/maple Suhr.

These three are my favorite guitars that I've owned. Of the three, probably the Charvel gets the nod as my absolute fav.

mentoneman's Tyler and gtrwun's ESP are right up my alley. Nice guitars!

Can't post pics at the moment but for me it'd be my '48 Gibson L50. Archtop style, has a beautifully natural reverb-like effect, from what I hear this is pretty common in archtops?(Please do share whether you buy into this or not.) Great-grandfather was a traveling musician and apparently he used to play out with it quite often. After his death though, it got put into storage for 40ish years. To be honest, it looks more like a new VOS finish than it looks actually used, it has almost no belt rash at all. Not worth a whole lot on the market but we're never letting go of it.

I can't tell anybody the story on this custom other than a good friend helped me spec it out and handle the order. It was built in Tokyo.

Anybody like V's? lol? 1 KV2 and 2 RR1's, customs. Pick one.
