I am thinking Naked because of the bass .... I think both played at the same time may be the way to go.

Before hearing the official Naked demo I would have said the Marsha, but now I don't know... the Naked sounds pretty bad-ass. I think a dual setup is the way to go!!! :rock:
 
You know it's hard to tell what an amp really sounds like from a clip. And just because it sounds a certain way, good or bad, doesn't mean it's gonna sound that same way with your guitar, your cabinet, and your hands. Case and point, I think my Friedman KS sounds way better than the Marsha or the Naked. Just my two cents. :thumbsup:
 
very cool blog. just remember, u guys are hearing just demos through computer monitors. the purpose of these demos is just to show the amps features and give u guys an indication what the amps tonal qualities are.
 
The different speakers used make it very hard to decide which is better. I'd be happy with either as they both sound KILLER! Dave said that the Naked has a smoother overdrive than the Marsha, and in the TM demos, the Marsha sounds much smoother while the Naked sounds more aggressive and grittier. I'm thinking this is because the Scumbacks are smoother and darker sounding than the V30's that were used in the Naked video.

I'd like to know how the Marsha with the "JBE" Cantrell mod compares to the aggressiveness of the Naked.
All I know is I'm ordering one of these amps in Jan. '11. The hard part is gonna be deciding which one!
 
the Naked is actually much smoother. I think it was the combination of the unbroken in speakers and the fact that JMR had the pres control very high. The perfectsetting for the Naked is Bass on 10, Mid on 10 and treb and pres on 5. ill probably due a second video at some point.

get the Naked and our Marsha preamp should be done by that time. then u can have the best of both worlds :thumbsup:

Rob, you're creating an unsafe level of toxic gas here!
So how aggressive can the Marsha get with the JBE cantrell mod? Both amps sound awesome, but it seems I could get many more tonal options from the Marsha with cln ch and switches and if it can get close to Naked aggression, that would sell it for me.
 
Do we hafta only pick from thoze two amps???? I can't "write-in" my KS Modded Marshall as a candidate?? :gethim:
