I listened to Gary back when he release Victims but sort of lost track after that... too many years have gone by, but I can completely echo everyones sentiments.

On a side note, what kind of LP is he playing in the first vid. It has no binding and doesnt look like a Studio to me.

Looks like his Gary Moore Signature Les Paul. Burstbucker #2 in the neck and Burstbucker #3 in the bridge from memory, very nice guitars.
Move vids people!

Murder in the skies!
Good choice. This was written about a plane which went down from a Russian attack in the mids 80s'.

The last muted run to the pinch squeal every single time makes me go Holy Fuck. In fact if you need to show intensity in rock to anyone play them this solo.

In the interest of a faster loading page I'll just list the rest in no particular order

Military Man
Over The Hills and Far Away
Back On The Streets
Out In The Fields
Blood Of Emeralds
Murder In The Skies
Victims Of The Future
Don't Take Me For a Loser
Cold Hearted
What Would You Rather Bee or Wasp
Walking By Myself
Flight Of The Snow Moose
Dancin'
All Messed Up

and not even the end of the list but this Gem

and tons moore

..and honorary mention to the awesome contribution of Neil Carter. He always sound great with Gary.

Cant decide either.

Black Rose, or Emerald....so many great songs though....

There's a show with him playing "the loner" with a white Charvel... Epic.

Oh my this is hard..1 -cause I lost my fav. guitar player
, 2.- cause I cant decide!
End of the world, Shapes of things,Out in the Fields, Messiah.........No one will or can replace him!..Missin ya Gary!

I know that most RT'rs are into the "Heavy Rock" side of Gary, but for me, it's this kinda shit that made him a "GOD"!!!

For me, it has to be "End of the World" for the simple fact that it was the 1st Gary Moore song I ever heard and it made me a fan for life. The intro solo is worth the price of admission alone...

One of the best at that style too- no doubt about it...why do the good ones get taken away from us?

Don't take me for a loser - Corridors of Power.. 1983. Might have something to do with being 16 at the time and being blown away by that album... and hormones, and a borrowed Mesa Boogie Mk IIc... And hormones.

Victims OF The Future, I love most of his stuff though, even the blues stuff is growing on me. His solo is Shapes is WICKED. All his solos are aggressive as shit.
