Thought it would be fitting, such a big influence of mine and a monster player. Love his Celtic roots stuff.

There are a lot that are up there, but for me it's one of his more obscure, Blues for Narada. Love the tone, the laid back feel, and going from slow and smooth to tearing a hole through space :D

Parisienne Walkways is probably my favorite, but there's really not a song he did that I don't like. The man had an incredible since of melody and phrasing. Above all the guitar players that have had an impact on my personal style, Gary Moore had the biggest finger print on why I play like I do. I have never had the honor of meeting him, but I truly feel like I lost a family member. I feel this wierd hollow feeling, like the world is a lesser place without him. :(

I know its one of his best known but I just his tone and playing in "Still got the Blues"

When I was about 15 years old, I listened
to this radio program called "Nasty Habits"
in the Boston area. I was a young Guitar
Enthusiast that loved Hard Rock and Metal.
All my friends were praising EVH, Shenker, Yngwie
and I come out with Gary Moore....they said who's that?
So one night this song came on the program and
TOTALLY knocked my Dick in the Dirt!!
So I Cranked it up and said to my friends.....
THIS IS GARY MOORE!!! They all stood there
with their mouths wide open, the rest is History.

Here's that song:

Great song!!!!

his version of shapes of things. there are couple but but one of them really rocks.

Blood of Emeralds. That intro is one of my favorite pieces of music ever.

I love it all, but his version of "Messiah" gives me chills every time:

Not sure if it is my absolute favorite, [there are so damn many], but "MIDNIGHT BLUES" ranks right up there.
