So what's your number one "go to" guitar?

For me, it's my 2001 Les Paul Classic. I love this guitar. It plays great, feels great in my hands and sounds killer. I can cover any style of music with it, and it just feels like home. So what's your number one?

2000 American Standard Stratocaster with 1st version Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues at the bridge. Locking tuners and tone control wired to bridge pickup. It's been through a ton of gigs and recording sessions with me. My wife bought it for me off Ebay and gave it to me for Christmas 2000. I woke up, went down to the tree and there was a Fender guitar case. I open it up and there it was. So there's a ton of sentimental value attached to it. I've started taking other guitars out to gigs and I never travel with it. :)

I tried really hard to obtain a red Wolfgang USA Standard, but after a couple horrendous deals gone bad, I built this USA Custom:

Turned out tone-wise way better than I could have hoped.

That's funny you should mention that your wife bought it for you- my wife bought my Les Paul for me as a Christmas gift as well. :)

Mine used to be my '91 EVH music man but I retired that guitar a couple of years ago...it's beat to shit.

Since then I've been using my mutt Strat exclusively...

Hands down my '76 LPC. Best sounding guitar I own by far. Traded an Epiphone straight across for it, too. :D

My number 1 is actually an acoustic, but if we're only talking electrics...

The Rosewood neck Sambora Kramer has ben my number one for the last 8 years, the maple neck is number 2.

My Gibson Les Paul Standard Custom Shop that was built in 1996 with EMG's added at the factory by Ernie King who was head of the custom shop back then. it's the only guitar i own that has never left the house. it's Brunswick Blue Sparkle with Gold Hardware.

2010 M-II special standard, with a custom radius neck thats not on their charts - somewhat between a Thinner C and a D. Took 2.5 years of waiting for this one and it was worth it.

My new number one since the spring is a Charvel Pro Mod that our friend Chubtone sold me with a Dtuna and a brass big block. Love this baby!
