I can't believe I forgot about it. I've said many times that IMHO it's the definitive rock album of our time. Tones, mixing and production don't get better than that IMHO, and then there're the songs...Sitedrifter":2r8peyov said:AC/DC Back in Black
Indeed, the '80s gave us sooo much great stuff. A top-10 list would've been much-easier, and even then, we'd be leaving a bunch of stuff out.napalmdeath":2r8peyov said:There's NO way to narrow it down to 3.
Too right, Steven.stephen sawall":2r8peyov said:His rhythm guitar work is among the best. It's right up there with James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, Parliament. I never liked guitar solos very much. I refused to play them for several years. But eventually went back to doing them.Monkey Man":2r8peyov said:Dayum Steven, I saw Purple Rain 7 times in the cinema. Prince - Purple Rain
Bought all of Prince's albums. Predicted in 1980 that he and Michael Jackson would be the biggest male pop stars ever. I think I nailed that one. Everyone laughed at me for saying this back in the day, of course. Incredible that they're both dead so young too.
Dammit Dan, I forgot about this one too.Mailman1971":8bay17qd said:Def Leppard - hysteria.

I actually like Diary better but Blizzard took me from just wanting to be a rhythm guitarist to doing it all. I pretty much love all the early Dokken stuff and my favorite Lynch moment is "The Hunter" but Lynch was just unleashed on Back for the Attack
