Great minds think alike.

1. Diary-Ozzy
2. Operation Mindcrime-Queensryche
Tie
3. Victims of the Future-Gary Moore
3. Number of the Beast-Iron Maiden

Sorry but I had to add just one more....
 If I had to choose only one, it would be Diary.

Wow.....1 and 2 are easy (you pick the order):

Reign

Lightning

3 could be one of at least a dozen other albums.....all of which kick ass

Helloween - Keepers of the seven keys -part II
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in time

3rd??? i don't know, maybe

any other Iron maiden album
Twisted Sister- Love is for suckers
Europe - The final countdown

Just a sidenote, I can tell a bunch of you pricks are old like me....LOL

Dude, Love is for Suckers was an amazing album! I have the title song on my iPod for when I go running. My buddy and I were working on an Air Force Base in Germany, cutting grass. We would have this time in-between jobs to eat snacks and listen to metal on our boombox. My friend put that album on and I couldn't believe it was TS. Great guitar tones on that one.

And Reb Beach played guitar on that album.

Cool!!

Whitecross - Triumphant Return
Rex Carroll is a beast on guitar, love me some Whitecross!

I'm loving everyone's lists...whether you're more thrash or hard rock, more early 80's or later, or just a mix...these are pretty much all great choices

REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity (1980)

Gary Richrath (RIP).... Great guitarist with awesome tone and feel. REO was my first concert.

"Roll With The Changes" is one of my all time favorite songs. It is such a great orchestrated classic rock song. The way the instruments work together just jamming away. Just perfect IMO.

Dayum Steven, I saw Purple Rain 7 times in the cinema. Only film I've paid to see more than 3 times.

Bought all of Prince's albums. Predicted in 1980 that he and Michael Jackson would be the biggest male pop stars ever. I think I nailed that one. Everyone laughed at me for saying this back in the day, of course. Incredible that they're both dead so young too.

Bonded by blood
Hell awaits
Speak English or Die

When these came out,I switched from bass to guitar. The beginning of my ruin.

King Diamond - Abigail
King Diamond - Them
King Diamond - Conspiracy
Gary Moore - Victims of The Future
Overkill - Years Of Decay
Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance
Black Sabbath - Live Evil
Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast
Metallica - Kill 'Em All
AC/DC - Back In Black

There's NO way to narrow it down to 3.

Ok, for just straight up guitar playing. And even at that, 3 is just too hard but here goes...

1. Blizzard of Ozz - Randy
2. Back for the Attack - George
3. Holy Diver - Vivian

I actually like Diary better but Blizzard took me from just wanting to be a rhythm guitarist to doing it all. I pretty much love all the early Dokken stuff and my favorite Lynch moment is "The Hunter" but Lynch was just unleashed on Back for the Attack. Honorable mentions has to go to Sykes with Whitesnake, Sykes with Blue Murder, Vandenberg on his first two solo albums, Gary Moore's Corridors, and Vito Bratta (brother where art thou) on Pride and Big Game. Overall it's too hard to list favorite "overall" albums so I just focused on guitar.

His rhythm guitar work is among the best. It's right up there with James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, Parliament. I never liked guitar solos very much. I refused to play them for several years. But eventually went back to doing them.

Most of all the ones already listed and

Blue Murder
Back In Black

AC/DC Back in Black
Van Halen 1984
Guns n Roses Appetite for Destruction

I just saw an interview with Dave Friedman and they were talking about "Under Lock and Key" versus "Back For the Attack". Don't get me wrong, I love "Back For the Attack" but "Under Lock and Key" was my favorite. Wish I could combine the two as it would be a perfect album.

"Kiss of Death" is one of my favorite songs by them. I remember when Lynch got solo of the year in Guitar World or some other magazine for "In My Dreams". His tone on those two albums was perfect 80s hard rock.

Tough call...could change any day given my mood, but for today:

Master of Puppets
Texas Flood
